We are proud to present this Rolex Explorer II for sale in mint condition, fully checked and authenticated in our in-house accredited workshop. Originally introduced in 1971, the Explorer II was designed to cater to the needs of spelunkers and cave explorers, featuring a distinctive 24-hour bezel and an additional hand to distinguish between day and night. Over the years, this iconic Rolex model has evolved while maintaining its core identity, becoming a symbol of adventure and resilience. With its robust construction, advanced technology, and timeless design, the Explorer II continues to captivate watch enthusiasts and adventurers alike, embodying the spirit of exploration that is deeply ingrained in the Rolex heritage. Celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2011, the Explorer II underwent a comprehensive transformation. The case dimensions were expanded from 40mm to 42mm and crafted from robust 904L steel, featuring larger hands for improved legibility. A prominent addition was the introduction of the renowned orange 24-hour hand, culminating in a distinctive arrow that contrasts vividly against the pristine white polar dial. This striking feature serves not only as a day-night differentiator in polar regions or caves but also functions as a second time-zone indicator, facilitated by the hacking-hour hand. These details are all protected by a flat sapphire crystal glass, complete with cyclops lens to enhance the visibility of the date aperture at 3 o`clock. The timepiece is driven by the automatic calibre 3187 chronometer movement, boasting a 48-hour power reserve, and is secured on the timeless steel Oyster bracelet with a folding Oysterlock clasp. To culminate the details of this Explorer II, it is fitted with a Triplock screwdown crown to ensure its water resistance of 10atm (100m/330ft). Originally sold in November 2013 and in mint condition for its age, supplied as a full set with its original inner and outer boxes, swing tag, seal, guarantee manual, Explorer II booklet, leather warranty holder and international warranty card.
