Developed for people who work in places where it is impossible to keep track of time according to the position of the sun, such as in caves or in polar regions, the Explorer ii is structured around a 24-hour display of the time. Equipped with Cal. 3185, a movement capable of independent correction of the short hand, it is also possible to display dual time using the 24-hour hand and the short hand. In 2007, the movement was replaced by the Cal. 3186 with improved single correction of the short hand and a Parachrom balance spring, which was produced until 2011. [Comments. This Explorer ii was manufactured in the mid-1990s. The dial and hands both have solid tritium luminescence, but the second hand and 24-hour hand have slight cracks in the luminescence. The bracelet is Ref. 78360/501B with a clasp cord of t (manufactured circa 1995) and ff. 501B. There are some past polish marks and minor scratches throughout, but there are no noticeable blemishes and the watch is in good condition. Overhauled at our own workshop in December 2024.
