It has a black dial with luminous Rolex Mercedes hands, a red GMT hand, a center sweep second hand with a luminous lollipop indicator, and luminous dot, baton, and triangular hour markers. The date aperture with a Cyclops bubble-magnifying lens is at 3 o’clock, and it has stop-seconds for precise time setting, and two time zones; the second time zone has independent rapid-setting of the hour hand. This Rolex Oyster Explorer II 16570 has a mechanical automatic winding caliber 3185 movement that’s rhodium-plated. It’s constructed with 31 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. It has a monometallic balance adjusted to cold, heat, and 5 positions, and a self-compensating Breguet balance spring. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28800 vph (4Hz).
