Rolex Explorer 2 Chi Chi di Mais Popcorn on porcelain… This is a very interesting and under the radar Explorer 2 with a white porcelain dial. These watches are not as well known as the other porcelain dial Daytona , but we really love them and know you will too! Also known as the Polar dial, this example has rich yellow hour plots, what the Italians term “chi chi di mais” or corn kernals in English. The case is strong with thick even lugs and the brushed steel bezel is in NOS condition. The watch is accompanied by its original papers stating that it was sold in 1991, both boxes, booklet and document wallet. The solid link Oyster 78360 bracelet is in NOS condition with a clasp stamped ‘P4’ and ref 501b endlinks. The watch has been fully checked and regulated by our watchmaker.
