Originally introduced in 1971, the Explorer II was designed to cater to the needs of spelunkers and cave explorers, featuring a distinctive 24-hour bezel and an additional hand to distinguish between day and night. Over the years, this iconic Rolex model has evolved while maintaining its core identity, becoming a symbol of adventure and resilience. With its robust construction, advanced technology, and timeless design, the Explorer II continues to captivate watch enthusiasts and adventurers alike, embodying the spirit of exploration that is deeply ingrained in the Rolex heritage. This version of the Explorer II, reference 226570 comes set in a brushed/polished 42mm stainless steel Oystersteel case with the classic 24-hour bezel. Its crisp white `Polar` white dial features large Chromalight luminous dot hour markers and matching hands, as well as a striking orange GMT hand and the classic date feature at 3 o’clock. These details are protected by a sapphire crystal glass (cyclops lens over the date) and powered by the automatic calibre 3285 chronometer movement. Lastly, its 10atm (100m/330ft) water resistance is ensured by a Twinlock screwdown crown, with the watch completed by an Oystersteel Oyster link bracelet with a folding Oysterlock safety clasp with Easylink extension. Originally purchased in 2025 and in unworn partially stickered condition, this Explorer II comes as a full set with its original inner and outer boxes, swing tag, seal, instruction booklet, guarantee booklet, leather warranty holder, original purchase receipt and international warranty card.
