We are proud to present this Rolex Explorer II in fine condition, fully checked and authenticated in our in-house accredited workshop. A watch for any and all conditions. Tested by explorers, mountaineers and scientists in the most challenging of conditions. The Explorer II set new standards for precision, strength, and clarity. Larger and more rugged than its predecessor, the Explorer II features an additional hand that rotates around the face of the watch once per 24 hours, which allows you to keep track of daylight hours or a second time zone thanks to the hacking-hour hand. In its 40th anniversary year in 2011, the Explorer II received a total makeover. The case was increased from 40mm to 42mm and manufactured with 904L steel, with enlarged hands for enhanced visibility. The most noticeable feature was the addition of the famous orange 24-hour hand ending in an arrow that stands out brightly against the crisp black dial. It can be used to distinguish day from night at the poles or in caves, or alternatively as a second time-zone indicator thanks to the hacking-hour hand. Powered by the in-house calibre 3187 chronometer automatic mechanism with a 48-hour power reserve and fitted on the classic steel Oyster bracelet with a folding Oysterlock clasp. This version the reference 216570 was discontinued in April 2021 so would be great to get your hands on. Originally purchased in July 2020 and in fine condition due to a few minor marks present on the bezel. This Explorer II comes supplied with its original inner and outer boxes, instruction manual, seal, leather warranty holder and international warranty card.
