Tested by explorers, mountaineers and scientists in the most challenging of conditions. The Explorer II set new standards for precision, strength, and clarity. Larger and more rugged than its predecessor, the Explorer II features an additional hand that rotates around the face of the watch once per 24 hours, which allows you to keep track of daylight hours or a second time zone thanks to the hacking-hour hand. This reference 16570 was produced from 1989 until 2011 and comes set in a 40mm stainless steel Oyster case with engraved 24 hour bezel. The watch features a clean black dial with striking red GMT hand, tritium dot hour markers and matching hands as well as the classic date feature at 3 o`clock. This Explorer II is equipped with the automatic chronometer rated calibre 3185 movement and comes fitted on the stainless-steel Oyster link bracelet with folding clasp. Originally purchased in December 1996 and in fine condition for its age, this Explorer II comes with a Rolex inner and outer box, Rolex seal, previous service paperwork and perforated international warranty paperwork.
